Finally the time has come for you to log on and have absolutly no fun! Excited? I bet you are! The following is all the information you'll need to know before jumping on the server.

What are we testing?
This test will be to see if our network code (and server) can handle loads that we (doug and I) cant create on our own. Expect this to be rather short and span over a few days as needed.

What should I be doing on the test server?
Walking around, chatting with people (which is basically all you can do for now). There is some map to explore but dont expect anything too exciting as this is a featurless version (there are a few interesting pieces of scenery though). We'll be talking with you and monitoring the server while you walk around and talk to people.

Known glitches/bugs
- Misc player name issues (disappearing, not showing until someone moves, ghosting)
- Player walking looks strange (no animations, direction, player smooth scrolling)
- All players look the same.
- higher floor's graphics chopping at the east and south side.
- Misc player cliping through overhead objects/trees (might look odd sometimes when walking behind another object)
- Private message when a player logs off. (You have to close and reopen a channel with a player who logs off and back on)
-bed's are walkable in certain positions
-Graves are walkable in certain positions
-character limit in chat channel
-direction keys are global to youre pc while the client is open (meaning it takes control of the direction keys in all applications)

What bugs/glitches should I report?
Anything that looks like a graphic texture problem.
Logon screen background distorted and/or sized wrong, non-existant.
Interface texture blurry/distorted, non-existant.
Text unreadable, distorted, non-existant.
Getting stuck while walking, or able to walk somewhere you shouldnt (through walls, off the map, etc).
Client crashing.
Chat not working.
Take a screen shot and post it, if applicable to the problem.

How to log on:
Download the client ->HERE<-
Unzip dristin.zip to any location you like and run the dristin.exe program.
login using any username/password you like (account functions are disabled currently, so it doesnt matter what you choose)
Report any errors on the test server forum.

Controls
Move your Character - Direction keys
Open a private channel - control + o (or click the + button next to the channel tabs)
Show debug info - alt + f8
Scroll chat text up/down - up/down buttons on chat window
Close a private channel - X button on chat window
See previously typed text - Shift + up/ Shift + down
Close the client - Click X on the window ( :P )

At this point you can walk around and explore the map if you like and/or chat with whoever might be on. (or if your feeling awesome, organize a game of hide and go seek).

UPDATES
08/08/09 - We've gotten all the info we need. We'll leave the server up for a few more days just in case someone wants to check it out. We'll post info on whats next soon. Thanks for helping us out.

You guys really need to work on the way you handle keyboard inputs:

I get a log entry for every key I push in your client.

Every key, ie letters, backspace, etc.

Hahaha, and it even logs an entry when I minimize the client.
